Greater Philadelphia Region Precision Medicine Tech Hub

Greater Philadelphia Region Precision Medicine Tech Hub and PROPEL

Formed in response to Greater Philadelphia’s designation as one of 31 “Tech Hubs” as designated by the United States Economic Development Administration (US EDA), PROPEL: The National Center for Precision Medicine leverages the Greater Philadelphia Region’s Precision Medicine assets and breadth of stakeholders into a uniquely integrated alliance to create a Living Laboratory. This will catalyze the next generation of health interventions, and work to improve national health equity and economic opportunity.

PROPEL will secure our region’s place as a global innovation leader in “End-to-End” Precision Medicine. It will serve as a catalyst for creating the next generation of technology jobs, ensuring our nation’s economic stability, resiliency, and global competitiveness. By fostering synergy among the region’s innovative partners, PROPEL will promote and sustain regional health, drive national economic security, and ensure equitable economic outcomes for our most underserved communities.

PROPEL’s lead member is Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation (“Ben Franklin”), with seven core partners leading projects, and over 50 regional stakeholders from across the Delaware, Southeastern PA, and Southern NJ metropolitan region.
