Ben Franklin Announces 2021 Additions and Leadership Changes to its Board of Directors and Staff

New board members added; former President and CEO Rosenthal praised as Nissenbaum begins tenure

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania (“Ben Franklin”) today announces the additions and changes to its Board of Directors, including three new members, two leadership changes and one departing member, as well as completion of the transition of its President and CEO roles.

At its December Annual Meeting, the board welcomed two new members: Orim Graves, former Executive Director of the National Association of Securities Professionals (NASP), and LeRoy Jones, CEO of EREflow and former CEO of Ben Franklin portfolio company GSI Health (acquired by Medecision in 2019). Board leadership changes for 2021 were also confirmed, with Janice Giannini elected as Vice Chairman, and Robert Ciaruffoli as Corporate Treasurer. Mindy Posoff was re-elected Corporate Secretary. The organization thanked Osagie Imasogie, who has stepped down from the board after 17 years of honorable service.

With his tenure as President and CEO beginning this month as previously announced, Scott Nissenbaum has also now joined Ben Franklin’s board. The board also elected former President and CEO RoseAnn B. Rosenthal as Director Emeritus and CEO Emeritus and shared its praise for her 25 years of exemplary service to the organization.

With these changes and additions at Ben Franklin, we are enthusiastic about the opportunities to build from a base of so much accomplishment for the benefit of our region,” said Ben Franklin board chair Charles Robins. “RoseAnn’s preparation for this transition has been thorough and admirable. With her continued guidance and the engagement of our experienced board, Scott has inherited an organization and team that is positioned for further growth and impact.”

“Osagie Imasogie has been a wonderful sounding board and thought partner for Ben through so much of my tenure as CEO,” said Rosenthal. “Without a doubt, his contributions to Ben Franklin have impacted the many facets of our work, from complex partnerships to individual companies. I’m looking forward to assisting Scott and the board as they embark on Ben Franklin’s next phase.”

“I’m humbled, excited, and motivated all at once,” said Nissenbaum. “The momentum and capability of our team, and the active engagement and commitment of our board, gives me so much confidence for Ben’s future.”
