Ben Franklin has invested upwards of $75 million in the region to build research and development partnerships between universities and corporations, and grow companies in the Life Sciences Sector.

Since 2002 alone, we have invested more than $17 million in more than 40 Life Sciences companies.

Ben Franklin invests across a span of technologies including: biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, biomaterials, and healthcare IT.

We have funded and supported many of southeastern Pennsylvania’s leading and promising life science companies, including Adolor, BioNanomatrix, Centocor, Cephalon, Immunotope, Immune Control, Jenrin, Molecular Detection, Morphotek, NuPathe, Orthovita, and ViroPharma.

Ben Franklin develops, partners and invests in numerous Entrepreneurial Support organizations and regional investors, including the PA Biotechnology Center of Bucks County, the PA Environmental Technologies for the Pharmaceutical Industry Program, the University City Science Center, BioAdvance and several technology transfer partnerships.
