Mitch Vidovich
VP, Government Affairs Independence Blue Cross
Mitch Vidovich is the Vice President of Government Affairs for Independence Blue Cross, a national health plan headquartered in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, he communicates the company’s public policy positions to elected officials at the federal, state, and local levels. This includes topics like the Affordable Care Act, prescription drug pricing, as well as public health concerns such as the opioid epidemic. Prior to his work at Independence, he served for five years as a senior staff member to US Senator Pat Toomey, both on Capitol Hill and in Pennsylvania. During his tenure, he worked on issues before the Senate Finance Committee and the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction.
Mr. Vidovich serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Delaware County Child Advocacy Center, as well as a Board Member of Family Support Line and the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry. He is a member of the regional Narcotics Overdose Prevention & Education Task Force. Mitch is a graduate of Susquehanna University and has completed his master’s in business administration at Villanova University.
