Straight Talk – A look at how the region’s economic development officials are tackling the pandemic.
Greater Philadelphia’s economic development agencies are gearing up for a slow reopening of businesses across the region, and leaders of those organizations say companies need to be prepared to spend some extra cash in a post-pandemic economy.
The Philadelphia Business Journal brought together leaders from local economic development agencies for a live discussion about their efforts to work together and aid businesses and nonprofits during these challenging times: discussing national and local programs, help for businesses to navigate challenges, and their outlook on new initiatives and the future of our economy as orders begin to get lifted.
Moderated by PBJ’s Natalie Kostelni, the speakers included:
RoseAnn B. Rosenthal, president & CEO, Ben Franklin Technology Partners;
Anne Bovaird Nevins, president, Philadelphia Industrial Development Corp.
Matt Cabrey, executive director, Select Greater Philadelphia
Mike Grigalonis, COO, Chester County Economic Development Council
