Zonoff Named “2016 Top Workplace” by The Philadelphia Inquirer
Leading Consumer IoT Platform Provider Recognized as a Top Workplace in the Greater Philadelphia Region.
Zonoff, Inc., the Consumer IoT platform provider that empowers the world’s top brands to deliver smart, seamless living, today announced it has been named to The Philadelphia Inquirer’s list of 2016 Top Workplaces in the “small companies” category. The Top Workplaces program, managed by WorkplaceDynamics, recognizes companies that have a great workplace, and an environment that allows them to outperform peers. The program relies mainly on the perspectives of employees who are surveyed about their jobs and work environments.
“With so many impressive companies in the greater Philadelphia area, being recognized among the best workplaces speaks volumes about how our employees feel about working at Zonoff,” said Mike Harris, CEO and Founder, Zonoff. “The Zonoff team weaves together varied technologies and engineering disciplines to enable Smart Home systems around the globe. Our environment and work culture is one that must inspire individuals while also encouraging the cross-pollination of ideas.”
There are numerous examples of company-wide initiatives that bring people together to share and capture contributions from all parts of the company. Zonoff has all-hands company meetings and an online enterprise collaboration tool to create an open corporate dialogue where everyone has a voice. To further instill openness, Mike Harris hosts a CEO lunch every month to which five employees from across the company are invited to discuss the company and their work.
Zonoff’s efforts to create community are also evident in its office space planning. Zonoff created a large kitchen at the heart of the office to serve as a gathering area for the company, stocking food and snacks for employees and hosting executive breakfasts where executives makes waffles and omelets for their teammates. Zonoff also sponsors intramural employee sports teams, bringing coworkers together outside of the office in a fun atmosphere.
Additionally, Zonoff offers its employees a generous benefits package that includes best-in-class health insurance, 401(k) plan, unrestricted vacation policy and stock options.
This year’s Top Workplaces event was held on Wednesday, March 16 in Philadelphia and results of the 7th annual Top Workplaces survey were published in the Sunday, March 20th edition of The Philadelphia Inquirer and on Philly.com’s Business channel.
