Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives Group

As SVP of the Strategic Initiatives Group, Mark leads the development and implementation of strategies and projects focused on growing the business of Ben Franklin Technology Partners. He is frequently Ben Franklin’s first point of contact for many companies and entrepreneurs interested in employing Ben’s various resources such as mentoring, technical assistance, and funding. Additionally, Mark leads Ben Franklin’s FabNet™ program – a partnership for rapid prototyping and fabrication utilizing advanced manufacturing technologies; manages an investment portfolio of Ben’s early stage Physical Sciences companies; and coordinates other new investor and community partnership activities.

Mark has over 30 years of experience in innovation, engineering, and manufacturing. Prior to joining Ben Franklin, Mark was Vice President, R&D for CertainTeed Corporation, a North American building materials manufacturer, where he was responsible for research, development, engineering, and new business integration bringing numerous products to commercial success worth over $100M, annually. In this role, he also oversaw international new product launches as Global Program Manager for Paris based parent company, Saint-Gobain.
