Request for Qualifications (RFQ)
Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern PA is seeking a company to conduct up to 50 in-depth qualitative interviews with small businesses involved in energy efficiency (EE) products and services throughout the US. The objective is to determine:
- Priority services that energy efficiency small businesses in the Greater Philadelphia region would like to receive from a small business incubator;
- The most helpful and impactful services that energy efficient small businesses have received from small business incubators in targeted regions within the US.
The selected company will analyze these interviews and prepare a report recommending incubator services & programs to meet identified regional EE small business needs and employ national best practices appropriate to the Greater Philadelphia region.
Note: Thirty interviews will be conducted with small businesses located within the Greater Philadelphia region and twenty additional interviews will be evenly distributed among the following cities: Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Denver and Seattle.
Respondents should provide a Word document, (6 pages max.) documenting the following qualifications to be considered for this project:
- Experience in conducting qualitative interviews, interview questionnaire design and interview analysis;
- Knowledge of the energy efficiency market and EE device and software technologies and products;
- Access to regional energy efficiency small businesses for interviewee targeting;
- Knowledge of small business incubator service and business models.
