RoseAnn Rosenthal Awarded Honorary Degree
from Philadelphia University

PHILADELPHIA, PA: RoseAnn B. Rosenthal, President & CEO of Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Philadelphia University at its commencement exercises, in recognition of her decades of commitment to economic development in that region. Rosenthal was praised for her strong leadership of BFTP/SEP.

The citation noted: "As a leader in fostering and promoting innovative and strategic partnerships, Mrs. Rosenthal's guidance has transformed BFTP/SEP into a major catalyst for regional growth and competitiveness, and resulted in collaborations with business and economic development partners, research and development facilities and educational institutions."

Highlighted was BFTP/SEP’s unflagging efforts to ensure that regional technology firms have access to the resources that they need to be efficient, competitive and successful in the global marketplace.

Philadelphia University recognized Rosenthal’s expertise in science- and technology-based economic development, her involvement on various regional economic development and community boards, and previous positions on state and national task forces, including the National Science Foundation’s Advisory Committee for Small Business Innovation Research.

The commencement ceremony took place at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts before almost 600 undergraduate and graduate students.
