Serigene’s technology will allow doctors’ offices to quickly identify patients’ infections, for faster diagnosis and drug treatment. Most doctors’ offices must currently send test samples to diagnostic labs for results. The cost-effective technology will eventually also lead to applications such as rapid genetic screening.
